We started this blog to document our Great Loop adventure. We continued to cruise on Adagio, but in 2018 we purchased a Roadtrek Sprinter Class B RV, named Adagietto. We then purchased an Advanced RV Sprinter named Rocky, which we later traded in for Poppy. It was also from Advanced RV, but was a new design, something they called a B-Box
3/30/2024 Laurel, MS
We stopped in Laurel, MS (home of ben and Erin's TV show, Hometown). We walked around town, snapped a few pics, had lunch at LaFleur and visited Rusty Chandeliers, a consignment shop. I told the first clerk I saw that I was from Dunedin, FL where we have decorative chandeliers hanging in yards around town. She (Sharon Graeser) told me she lived in Dunedin from 2001-2007 and her husband worked at St. Andrews. SMALL WORLD!
Our trip to Willoughby, OH via the Natchez Trace and Nashville, TN
3/28/24: First stop on our Eclipse of the Sun trip took us to Torreya State Park in the FL panhandle. Signs warned of copperhead and bear, but thankfully we didn't see any.
3/29/24: We were going too fast to get a good photo, but there was a Good Friday reenactment going on at this church with people in costumes, animals, etc. It is a good reminder of what Good Friday represents to Christians.
The Corps of Engineers campground (near the Tom Bigbee River not far from Bobby's Fish Camp for you Loopers) was full, so we opted for the county campground and we are ALL ALONE here. $15 per night includes power and pump out. Quiet except for the occasional gunfire.
