Day 1:  6/12/2021  Dunedin to St. Augustine Beach, FL

We started out with beautiful weather.  A1A was not extremely busy for a Saturday but the beaches and waterways were packed.  At Matanzas Inlet, there were over 100 boats beached and anchored for the day.  The forecast predicted storms and they hit 15 minutes after we passed the inlet and arrived at Sam and Jerry William's house.  To try to outrun the high winds and rain, the boaters started racing up the ICW for shelter.  Sam and Jerry had offered their driveway for our RV even though they were not home!  THANK YOU!!  The storms subsided after 45 minutes and we were on our way to evening services at St. Anastasia Church.

Day 2:  6/13/2021  St. Augustine Beach to Jack Hill State park, Reidsville, GA

We had a leisurely 5 hour ride which of course included a ferry ride.  Ron will drive miles out of the way to take a ferry.  The campground is quiet with beautiful sites.  There is a lake with a sign warning of an alligator.  We didn't check.  Midday, a doe came to visit, but changed her mind.

Day 3:  6/14/2021  Reidsville to Myrtle Beach, SC

After a leisurely breakfast, we headed for SC.  At 7pm, we met our niece, Christine at Filet's Waterfront for a great dinner.  It was great catching up with Chris since we hadn't seen her for 4 years (the last time was at Joe and Zara's wedding).  We had planned to boondock at a local Walmart, but the hotel next to the restaurant had several empty parking spaces, so we took advantage and had a very quiet night.

Day 4:  6/15/2021  Myrtle Beach, SC to Cedar Island RV Resort, NC

We arrived about 4 pm with severe storms looming.  It rained a little and blew over.  This RV park is next to the ferry which goes to Ocracoke (outer banks).  We will be here for 3 nights before heading to the ferry.  We have improved our awning, which used to flop up and down with any wind.  Ron now has poles and ground anchors and also some mesh screening for sunshade.  What an improvement!!  The campground here is set up for horses with a small corral and the horses are allowed on the beach.  Our site is backed up to a small boat launch, but not a single boat has gone in or out.
