8/13/2024: Breathing, bison, bears and bathing.
Breathing: About 30 minutes from Watson Lake, we started to smell smoke and the the sky became hazy. No signs of fire, but the smoke continued. The winds are out of the south.
Bison: along the road we saw lots of them, sometimes stopping traffic
Bears: just across the road from the entry to our campground, we saw this guy. As we entered Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park, we had to drive through an electric fence that surrounds the campground. (Ron met some of "his people" when we checked in. All of the workers here are from Slovakia). Ron is pictured with Maros.
Bathing: this is a hot springs. We walked 1/2 mile on a boardwalk to the springs. Loved the natural setting!
