Last day St. Anne de Bellevue

8/5/13
Kenny and Jeanne had to move to a restaurant's dock in order to get the gel coat repaired on their boat.  They were scheduled to be there at 0930, but there were other boats there and they were not departing for a half hour.  When the boats left and they finally docked, the repairman was gone.  He did come back until an hour later and began the repairs.
It is unlikely that we will leave today because the gelcoat will not be done until mid afternoon.

This next topic is not something we usually discuss, but we were fascinated with the technology involved in the public restroom near the lock in St. Anne .  It was a completely automated, self cleaning facility.  To enter, you waited for a green light.  You pushed a button and the door locked and a red light came on.  The sink contained 3 spigots...one for soap, one for water and one for drying.  The toilet flushed when you pushed the button to exit.  After each use, a red light came on preventing anyone from entering while a disinfectant spray covered the entire room, sink and toilet.  Amazing! What will they think of next?
