7/4/15 Traverse City

This is the second time we've been in Traverse City on the 4th of July.  We were here 4 years ago waiting for our new boat to be completed.  This is also the beginning of the Cherry Festival.  For the first time in 25 years, the Air Force Thunderbirds performed.  The show was spectacular and Ron caught some great photos.

The fireworks of course don't start until it's dark and that doesn't occur here until 10:30.  We had a great view of the show from the top of our boat.

The boat next to us (Omega II) is for sale, but the owner's children  and grandchildren spent the weekend on the boat. Jeff (pilot for Delta Airlines) wife Julie, and  children Peter (11) and Caroline (8) did a great job decorating the boat for the holiday.  We really enjoyed their company!
