When we arrived in Fairport, the docks were fairly full, so
we went on the far east end of the south dock where a major construction
project was taking place. This turned
out to be a good location away from the bridge noise and near the showers/restrooms. Even though the construction workers started
at 7am it was not noisy.
Dinner was at an Italian restaurant two blocks north of the
Canal.
Trains frequently go through town, so there is a fair amount
of train noise. There is a small specialty
grocery store (Red Robin) on the south side of the bridge, and we took
advantage of it for fruit and milk.
