We walked to St. Patrick Church for 10:30 services. This church is 200 years old and is magnificent! There are many stained glass windows, a pipe organ, and Stations of the Cross made of actual carvings rather than plaques on the walls.
This diocese, like so many others in the U.S. and Canada, has declining enrollments. In September, recommendations will be announced to address this problem. It is sad that people have turned away from the Church and from organized religion, in general. We see very few young families in these churches and they will be needed to sustain / grow churches.
There were very few restaurants in the vicinity, so we ended up at McDonalds for lunchtime salads.
Ron decided to attend the Maritime Museum and I'm here on the boat working on the blog. Duke has an ear infection. Tomorrow we will take him to a vet for treatment.
