Our bimini, ordered from a west coast canvas company, was to
have been trucked inside a Nordic tug being shipped to Jay Kraft in Traverse
City, MI. Scheduled delivery was the
second week of July. The shipment was
delayed four weeks so instead of waiting for it, we kept moving. In Erie, PA, we were notified that it was on
its way. (However the trucker was
arrested in the upper Peninsula of Michigan during a routine stop in which he
had an illegal weapon). Another trucker
was flown from the state of Washington to complete the delivery.) Since we were
in Buffalo, Ron decided to rent a truck and drive the 900 miles round trip to
pick up the bimini. He left at 10am and
was back by 3am—but very tired.
While he was gone I re-oiled all of the teak. The power to the boat went off mid-day and I
got help from Bill & Ann on Against All Odds.
Bill and Ann took me to the Raftapaloosa Party at Finch House and
bought my drinks. They introduced me to
many nice club members. This is a very nice club.
