6/7/2024:  Our first night was spent at Sand Pond State Forest (Florida Panhandle).  The  campground was nice for a state forest setting.  It had concrete pads and we were on a lakeside setting.

6/8/2024:  After a 2 hour drive, we arrived at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.  We were just in time for the guided tour at 1:00.  Tommy, our docent, was a Viet Nam vet who served several tours of duty.  He told stories about each plane, who made it, when it was flown, and the successes/failures of the type of plane.  Training and tactics were instrumental in overcoming the limitations of each plane during wartime.
