7/10/2024: Wildlife Wednesday and Wet Windshields
We were amazed to see a fox, a grizzly, two rabbits and two black bears today. We took a short side trip to Watson Lake for groceries and a pump out. In this town are thousands of signs that tourists have put up. We saw one that said Macomb, Illinois! Tonight we are camped alongside another lake, Lake Teslin, Yukon. Each campground has warnings about bears (and keeping your food locked up). It rained this afternoon while we were driving. In our 5 weeks on the road, the only other time we had a brief shower was entering Paradise (Idaho).
